Robert D. Janssen, Jr. is a Principal with Planned Community Developers, Ltd. Over the past 40 years, Mr. Janssen has been involved with commercial development within the 10,000-acre master planned First Colony community. Mr. Janssen has been involved in commercial land sales, leasing and development transactions representing some 3,000 acres and 6 million square feet. His current projects include the 1.4 million square foot Sugar Land Town Square development, the proposed Lake Pointe One office building (150,000 square foot, 6 story mid-rise Class A office building) and the completion of a 190-acre mixed use development named Lake Pointe Town Center. PCD recently completed a 165,000-square foot Design and Sales Center for Texas Instruments.
Mr. Janssen is a member of various real estate organizations including NAIOP (Past President, current Board member), HOLBA, and SIOR. Mr. Janssen is past chairman of the Fort Bend Christian Academy Board of Trustees, Advisory Board for the Texas A&M Masters in Land and Property Development Program (“MLPD”), Advisory board member for the U of H Masters in Real Estate program, past president of the Sugar Land Rotary Club and chairman of the Long Range Planning Committee for Sugar Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Janssen has been happily married for 41 years and has been blessed with two children and three grandchildren.
